Why are we making room for more?
Available seating at optimal inviting hours... In many areas of our campus we are already at maximum capacity and routinely surpassing it. We’re ready to increase the number of parking spaces on campus, renovate our kids areas, expand available seating in our main auditorium, and open up space in our atrium for people to hang out and experience a loving community like they’ve never encountered before. Imagine2 is a journey that will make room in our hearts for the people God is eager to entrust to us, and also create room on our campus for our children, friends, neighbors – and their children... for generations to come.
Have we considered other alternatives?
We’re trying them all... There are various ways to create more room: adding additional worship experience times, adding new campuses, and building new structures. During this 18 month journey of Imagine2 we'll be using them all – we’ll explore adding a new Saturday night service, open up a campus in Frankfort (with eyes on Cincinnati!), and simultaneously make room for more here at our central campus. As a church, we’re committed to having available seating at optimal inviting hours and we’ll do whatever it takes to make sure there’s room for the people you're inviting.
How much will everything cost?
$8.625 million...The total cost of Imagine2 not only includes the building projects here in Lexington, but will also open the doors for us to begin reaching the “Tri-City” area and beyond. Through THE POWER OF EVERYBODY, we will raise enough money to create a Lexington campus that will serve generations of people, open our first multi-campus location in Frankfort, and pioneer Quest’s ministry to people around the globe through partnerships in Africa.
How long is the giving commitment?
36months...We’ll come together as a church on Commitment Weekend
(May 3 & 4)
to make our initial pledges. Then, on the following weekend, we will
have our “Launch
Offering” where we’ll have the opportunity to bring the first portion
of our 36-month
commitment and give together as a community. Imagine2 will officially
conclude in
May 2011 – with a party like you’ve never seen to celebrate all the
incredible things
God will do between now and then!
Is my giving to imagine2 in addition to my regular giving?
It is above and beyond... As a church, we’re committed to honoring the biblical model of tithing (giving 10% of our income) to support the ongoing ministry needs of the local church. The opportunity created by Imagine2 allows us the privilege to give above and beyond our normal tithes and offerings, stepping into a place of sacrifice and faith to partner with Jesus in reaching more of His lost kids.
When will we move into the building?
September 13, 2009...During the 18 month building process, we’ll experiment with additional services and a new campus in Frankfort to house the growing number of Questers. Then, for our 2009 Fall Kick-off, we’ll throw open the doors to our city wider than ever before with the grand opening of our 2,500 seat auditorium and adjoining facilities. This will become a place where you meet with God, where the lonely and broken are enfolded into community, and where the unconvinced discover the amazing love of Jesus
How can I be a part of imagine2?
Pray...Serve...Give...Our journey will be fueled by all three of these investments! We encourage you to begin by asking God what part He will have you play in Imagine2. Next, consider stepping into a serving opportunity – you’re needed! Lastly, spend time with God and your family discussing how you can be part of THE POWER OF EVERYBODY as we step out into sacrificial faith territory.We’ll receive addional materials along the way to help us take these steps, as well as financial counseling to explore practical and creative investment opportunities.
