i2: The Journey So Far
During i2, we are asking Jesus to do the impossible through us over the course of 3 years as we open our hands and hearts as the power of everybody to make room for thousands more. It has been an amazing journey already. Below are some of the highlights and milestones so far, from the most recent to the beginning. Check back often, as the story is still being written and God continues to do more than we ever asked or imagined!
Imagine 2: Year 1 of the Journey (2008)
October 9 – Loan approved!
While the money for I2 has been pledged by faithful Questers, this money has been pledged over three years. To make sure the building and renovations happen, a loan was sought from the Alliance Development Fun. On October 9, that loan was approved and the construction continues!
June- November: Frankfort Construction Time
On July 1, construction of the Frankfort campus began. A new and expanded atrium, expanded auditorium, new and innovative stage and audio visual improvements, and remodeled offices and kids’ areas were among the changes made to this existing church building.
May 10-11: Celebration Weekend and Groundbreaking
On May 10-11, all of Quest Community Church came together, and pledged not just the $8.625 million needed for the Kingdom-advancing projects, but surpassed that and pledged $12.6 million! A launch offering, representing the first installment in giving towards the i2 goal, was taken and yielded almost $1.1 million dollars – on this first day! Groundbreaking later that afternoon capped this amazing weekend, as God unleashed His provision and grew the hearts of His people at Quest. Read more and watch the video of the announcement.

May 3-4: Commitment Weekend
On this exciting weekend, Questers on the I2 journey came together to commit to three years of joyful giving. This was a significant moment in the life of Quest, as many people began to trust God in new ways!
April 26-27: 101 Families Lead the Way
During I2, leaders at Quest had been challenged to pray and ask Jesus how they could lead the way and go first in their sacrifice. On April 26-27th, these leaders went first and pledged $6.9 million so that there would always be room for more people!

April 14, 15, 17: Spotlight Dinners
During the Spotlight Dinners, we got a unique glimpse as we sat on the stage and heard Pete describe what he sees from his vantage point every week. i2 is for the people we cannot see yet, but who are right now longing for the hope that’s only found in Jesus. The new paintings lining our auditorium reminded us of the unknown people whose faces are well known to God. We experienced this first hand at the last dinner as a Javier, a man watching online in Puerto Rico, heard of God’s love for him and entered into a relationship with Jesus during the event!
i2 Gatherings
As the I2 journey got under way, several church-wide gatherings were held as lead pastor Pete Hise and other leaders shared the vision for the importance of making room for more people to come and experience what has been so life changing for so many of us. We got to hear stories from people whose life trajectories have been changed, whose families were healed, whose chains have been broken – all because there was room for them at Quest. The vision received at these gatherings set the stage for people to begin to pray about what this might mean for them.
April 5- May 11: Imagine 2: The Power of Everybody Weekend Series
During this 6-week series, we explored what the Power of Everybody can accomplish in our hearts, our city and our world. Future generations will be impacted by the amazing work of God that will result from this formative chapter in the life of Quest Community Church.
